Sang-uk is a Maker. He's the founder of Folio Labs in Seoul, working late at night. The site is an archive of made things, words, and the small obsessions that won't leave him alone. He is patient with it.

Projects

A small archive of things built and being built.

Building

  • Tessera

A knowledge-resurfacing app — saving what you know is easy; having it come back when it matters is not.

  • Maestro

A Todo tool built on top of OTD. In development.

  • mugaze

A playlist-first music criticism service. Coming soon.

  • AR Glass

Day job. The rest is confidential.

Writing

Notes, working logs, and longer pieces. Mostly Korean, sometimes English. No cadence, no obligation.

Influences

Productivity has been the obsession for years. I treat my own life like a product under continuous iteration — running streams of work in parallel, designing the handoffs to people and to AI, automating away anything I shouldn't be doing manually. Years deep in GTD, Things 3, Tana, and Readwise Reader eventually led to building OTD when those started showing their seams. The day-to-day still lives in Tana, with pieces migrating to Maestro as it ships.

I listen to Korean modern rock and shoegaze. Nell for quiet conviction, Slowdive for everything that gets lost in reverb. Mostly background music for working slowly.

I read mostly self-development — books that change how the work gets done. Less fiction these days; more about systems, habits, and how other people think about their craft.

I'm a street photographer at heart — cities, sidewalks, the everyday scenery I pass through. The camera is a Ricoh GR III Street Edition that lives in the pocket. Most of it happens while walking somewhere else, which is also when most of the thinking happens.
